Xiaomi has launched, on the Chinese market, the Xiaomi 12 smartphone series which as always for its flagship products is equipped with high-level hardware but several rumors speculate on the arrival of a version Ultra, which would represent the best of what the Chinese house has to offer. Xiaomi’s new smartphones would be about to arrive on the global and Italian market around the end of February and early March. For Xiaomi 12 Ultra in Italy instead we will probably have to wait a little longer, as it could be launched in China in March.
The DCS leaker on Weibo has revealed what the camera specifications of this Xiaomi 12 Ultra should be and at the hardware level we could have something certainly remarkable in front of us. The main room and the telephoto will have one optical stabilization, 50 MP and 48 MP respectively. The ultra-wide will also be 48 MP and the main camera will be able to achieve a digital zoom of 120xcertainly something remarkable but the results of which will all be evaluated.
The post on Weibo also speculates on the possibility that Xiaomi has a partnership in store with Leica, once a partner of Huawei, which obviously has no intention of leaving the smartphone photography market. The previous collaboration with Huawei has undoubtedly been fruitful and has seen the Chinese company rise to the top in terms of the quality of the shots of its smartphones so it is possible that the thing will be repeated with Xiaomi.
Other rumors about this Xiaomi 12 Ultra also provide for the presence of a 5x periscope camera. This would be in contrast to what was previously said but it is possible that this is the camera that will be able to achieve the impressive 120x previously mentioned. The rest of the device should be equipped with a 6.7-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with QuadHD + resolution and 120 Hz maximum.
Like other models already seen this year it is likely that the LTPO 2.0 panel capable of reaching 1 Hz of minimum refresh rate, improves battery consumption. The processor mounted on this device should in all probability be Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 coupled with 12GB of RAM and at least 4500mAh of battery. In short, the specifications seem very respectable, we will see if it will be able to compete with the already complete and mature Galaxy S22 Ultra from Samsung.
