The Whatsapp knows no rest and continues to work on improving this popular instant messaging solution and so in the past few hours has kicked off the release of another beta version dedicated to devices based on Android: we are talking about the version 2.22.8.5.
What’s new in WhatsApp Beta version 2.22.8.5 for Android
After the installation of WhatsApp Beta version 2.22.8.4, some users have started to encounter two rather annoying bugs: the first concerns the duplication of messages and the second causes application crashes.
As for the first of those bugs, in the screenshot below you can see a repeated message which, however, was actually only sent once (it was the system that duplicated it):
Well, according to what we learn from the staff of WABetaInfo, with version 2.22.8.5 both bugs have been fixed (for the one related to the app crashes, the confirmation from the developers was also received through a message on Twitter).
Things like this can always happen when you use beta applications and it is precisely for this reason that it is advisable to backup your chat history on Google Drive before installing a new beta version, so that you can recover it.
How to download the new beta version of the app
If you want to try version 2.22.8.5 of WhatsApp Beta for smartphones based on the Google mobile operating system, you have the possibility to do so through the Google Play Store, by subscribing to the relevant beta testing channel (you can find the page dedicated to this program by following this link).
