There are new remodels coming for quite a few Vodafone Italia customers: starting from March 16, 2022subject to appropriate communication, some offers from the operator will suffer increases of the monthly renewal cost of 2.99 euros or 3.99 euros. Affected customers have already started receiving the information message.
In short, if in recent days we had talked about Vodafone for various and other events – from the inclusion in the price list of the Samsung Galaxy S22 to the free replacement for SIMs below 128K, up to the Opensignal ranking and the refusal of the purchase offer of Iliad -, today we have to give yet another displeasure to the customers of the red operator.
Vodafone: remodeling from 16 March 2022
As mentioned at the beginning, starting March 16, 2022 a limited number of Vodafone mobile network customers will have to deal with a new increase in the monthly cost: in most cases we are talking about remodeling to the extent of 2.99 euros more per monthbut some customers have already been notified price increases of 3.99 euros per month.
All customers affected by this new unilateral modification of the contract conditions will obviously be notified in advance by Vodafone by means of the usual communication channels: in addition to the classic informative SMS, all the relevant information is also available in theDo It Yourself Area of the operator’s official website and through the My Vodafone app. The information campaign started today, February 16, 2022. Below you can read an example of the incoming messages:
“Contract modification: to continue investing in the network and better respond to the growing volume of data traffic, from the first renewal after 16/03 your offer will cost an additional € 2.99 per month.
You can switch to another operator or withdraw from Vodafone services without penalties until 17/04 on voda.it/disdettalineamobileby registered letter with return receipt, PEC, by contacting customer service or in Vodafone stores, with purpose “modification of contractual conditions“.
In the message, the contractual modification is justified by the operator in light of the necessary investments in the network, the date by which the customer concerned can request the switch to another operator or withdraw from the contract without penalties (after specific communication) is indicated: in the message the one of April 17 is reported, but obviously the same can vary according to the date of sending of the informative SMS.
Customers involved and right of withdrawal
As for the Vodafone customers involved in these new remodeling, the first reports come from the owners of the offer Infinito Gold Special Edition – which was offered at personalized prices and includes unlimited minutes to everyone, 200 minutes to EU countries, unlimited SMS to everyone and unlimited GB in 5G but with a speed limited to 10 Mbps – active for more than six months with monthly prices already higher even at 20 euros per month.
It is not excluded that other Vodafone offers are also involved in the change.
Pursuant to article 98-septies decies, paragraph 5, of the Electronic Communications Code (Legislative Decree 1 August 2003, n. 259), all customers affected by the unilateral modification of the contract conditions – in addition to being able to deactivate the offer subject to the variation – can withdraw from the contract or switch to another operator, without penalties or deactivation costs, giving specific notice. Among the methods of free exercise of the right of withdrawal, which presupposes the indication of the “modification of the contractual conditions” as a reason, the following are noted: PEC at the address firstname.lastname@example.org; registered letter with return receipt to Vodafone Customer Service, P.O.Box 190 10015 Ivrea (Turin); call Vodafone Customer Service on 190 or fill in the dedicated form in Vodafone stores; dedicated official site variations.vodafone.itby logging in with the same credentials as the Vodafone do-it-yourself area.
In cases where an installment payment is active for the purchase of a device, the customer is offered the possibility of continuing to pay the remaining installments with the same frequency and without changing the payment method; alternatively, it is possible to express in the withdrawal form the desire to pay the residual amount in a single solution.
