The TVUsage app brings digital wellbeing to Android TV

Google’s digital wellness app helps the user to limit excessive smartphone use through features such as monitoring app usage time, activating a Focus mode to avoid distractions, setting timers for applications and much more.

TVUsage is an app that brings digital well-being and app blocking to Android TV to help the user realize their daily and weekly usage habits of the various apps installed on the TV.

The tool displays the usage graph of the last 3 days and offers the possibility to set the daily screen time limit to be notified when it is time to turn off the TV, also allows you to block any app with a pin, open any installed app and related settings directly from the details screen and exclude an app if you are not interested in tracking its usage.

The developer notes that all features have been fully tested on Nvidia Shield TV devices, while for other Android TV devices the app may only work partially or may not even work.

TVUsage is available for Android free of charge supported by optional in-app purchases and can be reached in Play Store from Google through the badge you find at the bottom. The video below shows how to set up the app and most of the features. Android 5.1 or later is sufficient for installation.
