During an event broadcast in streaming, Redmi announced today the arrival on the markets of the Redmi Note 11 series, announced in China last October. There are four smartphones that currently make up the series, with the entry of the Redmi Note 11S version and the absence of the Note 11 Pro + variant.
Compared to the versions marketed in China there are some differences, especially at the chipset level, but they all use Android 11 on which the custom MIUI 13 interface runs. Let’s go without further delay to discover in detail each of the four new Redmi smartphones.
Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
The most performing model is definitely Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, the only one to be equipped with 5G connectivity, thanks to the presence of a chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 695equipped with 2.2 GHz octa core CPU and Adreno 619 GPU, cooled with Liquid Cool Technology.
Redmi has chosen for its most intriguing model a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FullHD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), 120 Hz refresh rate (360 Hz touch sampling rate), maximum brightness of 1,200 nit and solution punch hole for the front camera (solution used over the entire range).
The Qualcomm chipset is flanked by three different memory sizes, 6-64GB, 6-128GB and 8-128GB, with the internal memory that can be expanded through microSD up to 1TB, using the slot shared with the second nanoSIM. Excellent connectivity that includes support for 5G and earlier networksWiFi 802.11 ac dual band, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC for mobile payments, infrared emitter, USB Type-C connector for battery charging and 3.5 mm socket.
The latter has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and is supported by fast charging at 67 watts, which can be immediately exploited thanks to the 67-watt power supply included in the sales package. On the side frame, in correspondence with the power / unlock key, there is the fingerprint reader, which is accompanied by a technology for unlocking with the face assisted by artificial intelligence.
As for the photographic part, Redmi has chosen a triple rear camera, with a 108 megapixel sensor(f / 1.9) to master it, together with an 8 megapixel sensor (f / 2.2) with ultra wide angle lens (FoV 118 degrees) and a 2 megapixel macro sensor (f / 2.4). On the front there is instead a single 16 megapixel sensor with f / 2.4 aperture.
Finally, the IP53 certification for resistance to water splashes and the use of a Gorilla Glass 5 to protect the screen should be noted. The dimensions are 164.19 x 76.1 x 8.12 mm with a weight of 202 grams. Three colors to choose from: Graphite Gray, Polar White and Atlantic Blue.
Redmi Note 11 Pro
Redmi Note 11 Pro is substantially identical to the 5G version, from which it differs in the chipset used, a MediaTek Helio G96 lacking 5G connectivity. The chipset, equipped with a 2.05 GHz octa core CPU and ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, is flanked by three different memory sizes: 6-64 GB, 6-128 GB and 8-128 GB, with the possibility of expanding internal memory via microSD up to 1 TB.
Again a 6.67 inch AMOLED panel with FullHD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels) with a frequency of refresh to 120 Hz, touch sampling rate at 360 Hz and maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. As for connectivity, we have support for 4G / LTE networks, dual band 802.11 ac WiFi, NFC, infrared emitter and USB Type-C.
The battery also in this case has a capacity of 5,000 mAh with fast charging at 67 watts and with a battery charger of the same power inserted in the sales package. We find, as in the 5G variant, the fingerprint reader integrated in the power button, face unlock, IP53 certification, double speaker, 3.5 mm socket and Gorilla Glass 5 on the front.
As for the rear camera, Redmi has relied on a four-sensor system: the main one from 108 megapixel (f / 1.9), an ultra wide angle (FoV 118 degrees) from 8 megapixel (f / 2.2) and a pair of sensors from 2 megapixels (f / 2.4) for depth and macro. On the front, a 16 megapixel sensor (f / 2.4) was chosen for good quality selfies.
The measures are unchanged compared to the 5G model: 164.19 x 76.1 x 8.12 mm and 202 grams of weight. Three colors to choose from, Graphite Gray, Polar White and Star Blue.
Redmi Note 11S
While maintaining the same design as the Pro versions, Redmi Note 11S adopts different solutions, starting from the 6.43-inch screen with FullHD + resolution (2400 x 1080 pixels), refresh rate at 90 Hz (180 Hz of touch sampling rate) and maximum brightness of 1,000 nits with Gorilla Glass 3 protective glass.
Under the body there is a MediaTek Helio G96, with CPU at 2.05 GHz and ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, flanked by 6-64 GB, 6-128 GB or 8-128 GB of memory, with the possibility of expanding the internal memory with microSD up to 1 TB. Connectivity includes support for 4G / LTE networks, dual band 802.11 ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, infrared emitter, 3.5mm socket and USB Type-C.
The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh but fast charging stops at 33 watts, with the charger included in the sales package. There are the side fingerprint reader, the double speaker and the unlocking with the face.
As for Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11S also uses a quadruple rear camera, with 108 megapixel (f / 1.9) main sensor, 8 megapixel (f / 2.2) ultra wide angle sensor (FoV 118 degrees) and two 2 sensors megapixel (f / 2.4) for macro and depth. On the front there is the 16 megapixel sensor (f / 2.4) already seen on the other models.
More compact dimensions that stand at 159.87 x 73.87 x 8.09 mm and 179 grams of weight. Three colors available, Graphite Gray, Twilight Blue and Pearl White.
Redmi Note 11
To close the group of news we find Redmi Note 11 which in some ways is more interesting than the previous model. It starts with a 6.43-inch FullHD + (2400 x 1080 pixels) screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits.
Under the screen, protected by a Gorilla Glass 3, we find a Snapdragon 680 with a 2.4 GHz octa core CPU and Adreno 610 GPU, with 4-64 GB, 4-128 GB or 6-128 GB of memory, which can be expanded with microSD up to 1 TB. The 5,000 mAh battery is assisted by fast charging at 33 watts, with attached charger.
Connectivity includes support for 4G / LTE networks, dual band 802.11 ac WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, infrared emitter, 3.5mm socket and USB Type-C. There is no shortage of side fingerprint reader, double speaker, face recognition and IP53 certification to resist splashing water.
Four also in this case the rear camera sensors: a main one from 50 megapixel (f / 1.8), one ultra wide angle (FoV 118 degrees) from 8 megapixel (f / 2.2) and the usual 2 megapixel pair (f / 2.4) for macro and depth. The dimensions are equal to 159.87 x 73.87 x 8.09 mm and 179 grams of weight. Three again the colors: Graphite Gray, Twilight Blue and Star Blue.
