Official Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, S8 + and S8 Ultra: the technical specifications

Not only Galaxy S22: today’s Unpacked has also unveiled the new series of tablets from the South Korean manufacturer, after a large amount of rumors, rumors and advances (which have proved to be quite reliable in several respects). Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 + and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra are designed for different types of users, especially as regards the size of the display, which is the main difference between the three: we start from the 11-inch LTPS TFT screen of the “base” model and even reaches the 14.6 inches of the Ultra (Super AMOLED), passing through the middle ground of the “Plus” (12.4 inches, always AMOLED).

There are many, as anticipated, i common points among the new Android tablets: we have the same heart, consisting of the Qualcomm SoC Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 with a 4 nm production process, we have similar memories (even if the Ultra goes further with a maximum of 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage), the same connectivity (5G in the specific version and Wi-Fi 6E), same cameras rear (double, with 13 MP main sensor and 6 MP ultra-wide angle), four AKG-branded speakers for everyone (with Dolby Atmos support) and S Pen included.

For selfies Galaxy Tab S8 and S8 + focus on a single 12 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, while the Ultra “doubles” and integrates a second wide-angle sensor, again from 12 MP. The batteries grow with screen and tablet size: Galaxy Tab S8 can count on 8000 mAh, Galaxy Tab S8 + rises to 10,090 mAh and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra goes up to 11,200 mAh, in all cases with wired fast charging Super Fast Charging 2.0 up to 45 W.

Returning to the screen for a moment, it is worth mentioning another difference: the “base” model is in fact the only one of the trio not to have a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display. It relies on a lateral sensor for unlocking.

We summarize the technical characteristics of the three Samsung tablets, highlighting the main differences.
