OxygenOS 12 with Android 12 arrives on the OnePlus 8, 8 Pro and 8T


After only one Open Beta, and less than a month after its arrival, OnePlus has announced the release of the OxygenOS 12based on Android 12, for its flagship smartphones of 2020, OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8T, as well as for OnePlus 9R.

Not just major updates: OnePlus, in fact, also updates its 2021 top-of-the-range Android smartphones, OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro.

This is the second major update for i OnePlus 8 And 8 Propresented in the first half of 2020 and placed on the market with the OxygenOS 10.5 based on Android 10, while it is the first major update for OnePlus 8Tpresented in the final part of 2020 with the OxygenOS 11 based on Android 11.

The update is currently being released for those who had already installed the Open Beta 1 of the latest OxygenOS and will soon be extended to all users of the stable branch.

As already known, the Open Beta of the OxygenOS 12 it had been made available exclusively to users who had one of the three devices available in a version destined for North America (NA or GLO) or the Indian market (IN). The development team underlines that the build for the EU version (the one destined for the European market) of its devices will be released as soon as possible since it needs further validation steps.

The new release, as mentioned exclusively for the IN and NA variants of the three smartphones, brings with it the OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 and is marked with the following build codes:

For all three smartphones, the changelog is identical.
