Netflix prepares to welcome Samsung Galaxy S22

Usually Netflix also waits several months after the launch of a smartphone to include it among the models that support playback of its content in HD and HDR10 quality and an example is represented by Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which only in recent days have obtained official support from the streaming giant.

Sometimes, however, the Netflix team decides to anticipate the times and that’s what has happened in the last few hours, as the streaming giant has updated the list of processors compatible with HD content playback to include the Samsung Exynos 2200 CPU (find the dedicated page following this link), that is the one that should animate the smartphones of the series Samsung Galaxy S22 in some markets (such as ours, for example).

Netflix prepares to launch the Samsung Galaxy S22 series

Recall that the Samsung Exynos 2200 processor was officially presented by the Korean giant last week and with great probability it will make its debut on the market on board some models of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series (according to the latest rumors, on the basic version and on the Plus variant ).

No doubt no one will be surprised by the fact that Samsung’s new smartphones will support the viewing of HD content on Netflix but it is curious that official support has arrived ten days before their launch.

Recall that Samsung for its new smartphones will also use another processor, that is Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (which could also be the only one used for the Ultra model) and we are waiting to find out what the Korean giant will decide to do with regards to Italy. Will we touch the Snapdragon variant this year or is the Exynos variant reserved for our country?

Appointment to Thursday 9 February for the official launch event of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.
