Apple held its first announcement event of 2022 on March 8, titled ‘Peek Performance‘(‘ Come and see what a performance ‘), live starting at 7pm Italian time. It was a pre-recorded event, as for all Apple virtual events since the beginning of the pandemic, broadcast on Apple’s Youtube channel as well as via the Apple TV app (on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac as well as smart tv and streaming devices on which it is available) and via the web at www.apple.com/apple-events/. The event opened with Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, presenting the most recent titles launched on the streaming platform Apple TV + and those coming in 2022 and beyondalso introducing the novelty of the “Friday Night Baseball on Apple TV +“. Two new shades of green were then presented (Alpine Green and Green) for the existing ones iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13. The new has been announced iPhone SE of the third generation (aka iPhone SE 2022) with Apple A15 Bionic processor, 4.7-inch HD display, IP67 water resistance, physical Home button with TouchID and 5G. The new was presented iPad Air 2022 with Apple M1 chip, 12MP front camera with ultra-wide angle and Auto Framing, optional 5G connectivity. For professionals, there were also news on the MAC front, with the launch of the new proprietary chipset M1 Ultra in addition to the new ones Mac Studio And Studio Display. Mac Studio is a powerful desktop computer (with M1 Max chip or new M1 Ultra depending on configuration) with compact design and plenty of ports for everything, while Studio Display is a 27-inch Retina 5K display with also 12MP camera with ultra- wide angle and Auto Framing plus six speakers and spatial audio.
Last yearin its usual spring event Apple announced Apple Card Family, the updated Apple Podcasts app, the new ‘Purple’ color for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini, the new Apple AirTag tracker to find objects such as backpack, keys or more via Find My, the new generation Apple TV 4K with A12 Bionic chip and support for HDR in High-Frame-Rate, Color Balance and the new Siri remote control, the new iPad Pro (11 and 12.9 inches) with M1 chip, and the new iMac with M1 chip.
