In recent months, the Google team has made no secret of having big projects for Android Auto and among the new arrivals there is also a redesigned user interface whose code name is Coolwalk.
Well, it seems that the Mountain View giant has started releasing this new interface for the first users and this means that probably over the next few weeks its availability will gradually expand.
Two new features are coming for Android Auto users
To characterize Coolwalk we find a split screen which makes Android Auto a little more flexible for users: on the one hand there is the Google Maps app and on the other hand there is a media player and the latest notifications.
Another novelty coming to Android Auto is represented by the possibility of carrying out the smartphone screen mirroring oninfotainment of the vehicle. At the moment there are no precise details on its operation but probably this feature will not allow users to view content protected by copyright (such as a movie or episode of a Netflix TV series).
And here are some images that show us the new redesigned interface of the Google platform in operation:
At present there is no precise information on when the Google team could release these news for all Android Auto users but it is likely that the wait is not going to last very long.
The Android Auto team deserves credit for having worked hard in recent times to improve the platform and one of the most recent examples is the resolution of the bug that prevented the display of incoming messages with Android 12.
