Google wants to improve the cameras on its phones
But it seems that Google has even bigger plans for the mobile phone sector and to that end is trying to enlarge its team with the aim of improving the appearance of the image signal processors, also known by the acronym. ISP.
Confirmation comes from analyst Anshel Sag, who posted on Twitter an announcement related to a research that the Mountain View giant is carrying out with the aim of finding experts in the ISP sector to be included in a team based in San Diego:
Unfortunately it is not clear what the projects of the Mountain View giant are as regards the next generations of Google Pixel but undoubtedly among the hopes of many users there is an improvement in ultra wide-angle shots, perhaps one of the fields in which the Mountain giant View is still not up to par with the competition.
It remains to be seen whether this new team from the Mountain View giant will be able to develop solutions in time for the next generation of high-end Google Pixel, whose launch should be scheduled for the fall.
We will probably know more over the next few months, perhaps already on the occasion of Google I / O 2022, an event that should take place in the spring.
