Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro finally receive the March feature drop

It took a couple of weeks, a condition that is apparently occurring with worrying frequency, but eventually the Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro are also getting the March feature dropreleased on March 7 for the other still supported Pixel series smartphones.

The difficulties are therefore confirmedprobably due to the new chipset, linked to the release of updates for the two Google flagships, which too often receive the new functions a few weeks later than older models, a situation that Google certainly hadn’t accustomed us to.

Update for Google Pixel 6 and 6 Pro

In addition to bringing the new features we have seen on the other Pixels, such as improvements to night photos on Snapchat, new stickers, wallpapers, a new feature for Live Caption and a update of the At a Glance widgetcome some improvements specific to the Pixel 6 series.

In particular, in addition to the inevitable bug fixes, we have interventions aimed at improving the stability and performance of the fingerprint reader, and to improve the energy efficiency and performance of the cooling system. Also fixed issues that caused random WiFi disconnectionsa bug introduced with the security patches of March, while for Verizon users there is support for the C band of 5G, so as to be able to access ultra wideband frequencies.

At the moment the roll out has started in a limited way but over the next few hours it should reach all owners of Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The OTA file and the system image for the two smartphones are not yet available, but also in this case it is only a question of having patience for a few more hours.
