You are looking for the best Nokia smartphone? Since its return to the scene after the unsuccessful experience under the control of Microsoft, Nokia has insisted on the pure experience of Android, launching a fair amount of products, with some confusion due to very similar acronyms.
For this we have created this page, updated in the month of December 2021, which collects i best Nokia smartphones. We have not created a classification by price range, as some would be empty and others too full. Rather, we have selected the products that we believe are the most representative of the brand, which offer the best based on the asking price.
How we select the best Nokia smartphones
Before discovering our selection, however, we explain the criteria we adopt to choose the best Nokia smartphones. First of all, these are models that we have tried in person, on whose quality we therefore put our word.
We verify that the data sheet is in line with current standards, that the batteries are not low or that the screen does not have a resolution in use 5 years ago. We likewise evaluate the user experience, which must be convincing net of limitations due to the selling price.
The software also has its weight, since we select models that know how to respond promptly to users and whose software is supported by the manufacturer. From this point of view, Nokia is a guarantee, since every smartphone will receive at least two major updates and three years of security updates.
Finally, let us not neglect the quality / price ratio, a factor that in some cases leads us to insert older products which, due to natural market variations, become very interesting compared to more recent products. A mid-range from a year ago is almost always better than a newer range base, even more so if the price is very similar.
Best Nokia smartphones
It arrived in Italy at the end of November 2020, in two memory variants and three different colors to choose from, all very special. The 6.5-inch screen, combined with a very flashy chin, push the dimensions to the limits of usability: 165.85 x 76.30 x 8.69 mm and 189 grams of weight, difficult to manage with one hand. The 4,500 mAh battery, combined with the Helio P22 chipset, allows you to always arrive in the evening, even on the busiest days, also given the HD resolution of the display. The rear camera, with a 13-megapixel main sensor and 2-megapixel depth sensor, is nothing extraordinary. In line with the price the photos obtained, not despicable for quality.
Nokia 3.4 is available on the Italian market from the end of November 2020, offered in three memory variants and three different colors, including the particular Dusk. Not bad the dimensions, which despite the very pronounced chin stand at 160.97 x 75.99 x 8.7 mm and 180 grams of weight. Ergonomics are not at the top but can still be managed with one hand. Good autonomy thanks to the 4,000 mAh battery which combined with the HD resolution screen and the Snapdragon 460 allows you to arrive in the evening even on the most intense days and reach better goals with a more prudent use. The triple rear camera is in line with the price range, although it could have done better. The main 13-megapixel sensor is flanked by a 5-megapixel wide-angle and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The photos are of good quality but not excellent.
Nokia 4.2 was launched in Italy in June 2019 in two different colors and with only one memory variant. Definitely compact, thanks to the 5.7-inch screen, it measures 148.95 x 71.3 x 8.39 mm and 161 grams in weight, all to the advantage of usability with one hand. The fast charging of the 3,000 mAh battery is missing, which arrives in the evening with normal use but which struggles a lot with intense use, despite a technical data sheet that is not exaggerated. The dual rear camera, with 13 megapixel main sensor (f / 2.2) and 2 megapixel depth sensor, produce acceptable shots given the price range and even at night it defends itself sufficiently.
It is on sale in Italy from mid-February 2021, in a couple of particular colors and with two different memory cuts, to meet the needs of the medium-low range of the market. Despite a 6.39-inch screen, the dimensions are within the limits of usability, 160.97 x 75.99 x 8.7 mm and 181 grams of weight. It should be noted the presence of the hole in the display which, however, did not affect the dimensions of the upper frame. On average, the 4,000 mAh battery, able to arrive in the evening even on the most demanding days, but which will hardly allow you to reach two days, if not with very mild use. Four rear cameras with a now standardized configuration: 48 megapixel main sensor (f / 1.8), 5 megapixel ultra wide angle and two 2 megapixel sensors for macro and depth of field. Nothing particular about the photos, which are aligned to the level of this price range.
In Italy it has been on sale since November 2019, in two different colors and in a single memory variant. The slipperiness of the back cover, combined with the dimensions that are certainly not contained (159.88 x 75.11 x 8.25 mm and 180 grams of weight), lead to ergonomics that are truly at the limit, also given the absence of an a a hand Disappointing autonomy, given that the 3,500 mAh battery will take you in the evening with some precautions in case of intense use, with a certain tranquility in case of normal use. If the shots during the day are of excellent quality, at night things definitely get worse even with the night mode that accentuates the contrast excessively. The 48-megapixel (f / 1.79) sensor, 8-megapixel (f / 2.2) wide-angle (FoV 118 degree) and 5-megapixel depth sensor can still enjoy a feature-rich camera app.

Nokia X 10 arrived in Italy in early summer 2021 after being announced in spring. It is available in three memory sizes and two different colors. The dimensions are decidedly bulky, thanks to the 6.67-inch screen and the frames that are not too optimized, reach 168.94 x 79.7 x 9.1 mm and 210 grams of weight. Ergonomics are sacrificed and even in your pocket this smartphone will stand out. Good battery, which with its 4,470 mAh, combined with a not too energy-intensive chipset, guarantee a good autonomy. Fast charging at 18 watts is present, not bad. Four rear camera sensors, with the main 48-megapixel camera flanked by a 5-megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and two 2-megapixel sensors of little use.
Marketing in Italy began in May 2021, with two colors and two different memory cuts. With a 6.67-inch screen, the dimensions are anything but compact: 168.94 x 79.7 x 9.1 mm and 220 grams of weight. Almost impossible to use with one hand, if you are looking for a compact smartphone this is not for you. If you want a large screen, the Noxia X20 is perfect. The 4,470 mAh battery does not scream a miracle, especially if you use the 5G connection, but with some care you will arrive in the evening even on the most demanding days. Four rear cameras, with 64 megapixel main sensor and 5 megapixel ultra wide angle, with two additional 2 megapixel sensors of little use. Overall good photos, even if the wide angle suffers in many situations.
Nokia 8.3 5G
It is available in Italy from the end of November 2020, although it was announced in the spring of the same year. In Italy it comes in two variants of memory. Definitely generous dimensions, equal to 171.9 x 78.56 x 8.99 mm, with a weight of 227 grams. Blame the 6.81-inch screen and the imperfect optimization of the frames, which worsens the ergonomics. The 4,500 mAh battery is not the top, given the size it could have done more. In any case, the autonomy is more than satisfactory and it is possible to arrive in the evening without any problem, even on the most demanding days. Four rear camera sensors, created in collaboration with ZEISS. In addition to the main 64 megapixel sensor (f / 1.89) we find a 12 megapixel wide-angle sensor (f / 2.2) and two 2 megapixel sensors, for depth of field and for close-up shots. If the two main sensors are of good quality, allowing you to get good photos, the two additional sensors are useless as always, but this is nothing new.

It has been in Italy since the beginning of August 2021, in two different colors (granite and blue) and in a single memory variant (6-128 GB). Decidedly bulky, also due to a 6.67-inch screen and despite the punch hole solution: 171.64 x 81.5 x 10.64 mm and 248 grams of weight are felt and certainly do not favor use with a but no. On the other hand, however, it is certified with the MIL-STD-810H standard to resist abuse. Not bad autonomy, thanks to the 4,630 mAh battery that allows you to get to two days of use without special precautions. Not bad the camera, with 48 megapixel main sensor (f / 1.8) and 13 megapixel ultra wide angle, which allow you to take good quality photos in all situations.
